Diocesan Response to Present Crisis in the Church

Statement from Bishop Knestout

Bishop Knestout encourages anyone aware of sexual abuse of minors on the part of clergy or staff of our diocese to do all of the following:

  • #1 Notify Civil Authorities
    • Child Protective Services 24-Hour Hotline (800) 552-7096
    • Must report within 24 hours.
  • #2 Contact the Diocese of Richmond
    • 24-Hour Confidential Phone Line (877) 887-9603
    • The Victim Assistance Reporting number is to make a confidential report of allegations of abuse by Catholic Diocese of Richmond personnel.
